The 1840 Acri death record for Vincenzo lists his parents as Giacinto Fusaro and Marianna Livrieri. The 1842 marriage of Vincenzo Canino and Carmela Fusaro states Carmela's paternal grandfather was Giuseppe Fusaro.

The 1842 Processetti records for the marriage of Vincenzo Canino and Carmelo Fusaro contain a copy of Giuseppe Fusaro's (Carmela's purported paternal grandfather) death record. That processetti copy states Giuseppe died on 01 Jun 1816 in Acri at age 60 and his parents were Nunziato Fusaro and Lucrezia. The 1816 Acri death records were not microfilmed so the processetti copy cannot be checked against the original document.

The 1842 Processetti records for the marriage of Vincenzo Canino and Carmelo Fusaro have been shown to contain an altered document purported to be the birth record of Carmela Fusaro so it is difficult to know what to believe.
