There does not seem to be a marriage record for Ottavio Toscano and Nicola De Marco. However, there is an 1813 Acri marriage record for Ottavio Toscano and Giovanna Di Marco. A search has found no birth records for any children of Ottavio and Giovanna. The Ottavio - Giovanna marriage falls in the time period where an Ottavio - Nicola marriage was expected.

In addition, there does not seem to be a death record for Giovanna Di Marco. There is an 1842 Acri death record for Nicolina De Marco whose parents were Lorenzo De Marco and Vittoria Intrieri matching those listed for Giovanna in the marriage of Giovanna Di Marco and Ottavio Toscano.

Therefore, it is believed that Giovanna Di Marco and Nicola De Marco are the same person.²³⁰⁶
