The processetti records for that marriage contian a copy of the 1818 Acri birth record # 84 for Michele with the mother's name as Anna Terranova. The actual 1818 Acri birth record # 84 of Michele Rizzo lists his mother as Anna Buonofiglio.^{1582, 1583, 1584}

A search of Rizzo children born in the same time period returned several children born both before and after Michele with parents Giuseppe Rizzo and Anna Buonofiglio but none with mother Anna Terranova. Anna Buonofiglio's mother was Chiara Terranova. This is likely how the surname mistake for Anna originated.
